This is a hand made print of a linocut of a hen balancing on one leg with claw up, in red oil based ink on rice paper. This print was inspired by a flock of hens we stayed beside while on holiday in Anglesey, Wales, for 2 weeks. My little girl loved feeding them.
The printed area is 19 x 15.5cm and the paper is 28 x 25cm. All of my linocut prints turn out slightly differently – depending on where the linocut is placed on the paper, how much ink is rolled on, and how much pressure is used to transfer the ink from the linocut onto the paper. This is an open edition print.
As you can see from the last picture, I exhibit these prints in a white wooden frame. The print will arrive in a poster tube. It is packaged into a clear plastic bag, which has been reinforced with a card insert.
Thanks for showing an interest in my prints!
